I dare you to get through these photos of little Reagan without cracking even a hint of a smile. I giggled to myself the whole way through editing these images. I'm not kidding. I wanted to hug my computer – Reagan is such a delight. The whole family is!
Reagan turned one a couple of weeks ago and to celebrate, her mom honored the milestone with a cake smash session. A beautiful, smiley baby girl covered in pink icing? Yes, please!
First we started with a few family photos on one of my favorite bridges in town, located at the Roswell Mill. It was early morning and the light was golden and perfect. While mom and dad situated Reagan for the cake shots, I hung out with Peyton, flying planes and blowing bubbles. We were besties by the end. He is such a sweetheart – and a great big brother. He was very patient with Reagan, especially when she started to cry.
The beginning of our cake smash was a little rough. Poor baby Reagan was hot and uncomfortable, and she screamed to let us know she wasn't pleased. We peeled her clothes off and tried a few things - singing songs, walking with her, and playing music on our phones (and yes, I had to take some shots when this was happening because, hey, not only is it real life but Reagan was theee cutest crying baby) – and eventually she cooled down. Success! Then she went even further and pulled out her dazzling, heart-squishing smiles. See for yourself. And again, I dare you not to smile yourself.
